MSE Welcomes Dr. Seok-Woo Lee to the Department

The department proudly welcomes Dr. Seok-Woo Lee to its teaching faculty. In the fall, Dr. Lee will join MSE as Pratt & Whitney Assistant Professor. Dr. Lee received both his bachelor’s in materials science and engineering and master’s of science in advanced materials engineering from Korea University in Seoul. He went on to earn his Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Stanford University, completing his dissertation on The Plasticity of Metals at the Sub-micron Scale and Dislocation Dynamics in a Thin Film, research that focused on the mechanics of materials at the sub-micron scale. . . .
